Ethical Policy

The Electronic Journal of Mathematical Modelling in Engineering and Digital Sciences (EJMMEDS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers are expected to adhere to ethical standards throughout the publication process.

Duties of Authors

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Any use of the work and words of others must be appropriately cited. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will result in rejection of the manuscript.

Multiple or Concurrent Submission

Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Concurrent submission constitutes unethical publishing behavior.

Data Accuracy

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all data, calculations, results, and references presented in their manuscripts are accurate and reliable. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest

Authors should disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that may influence the interpretation of their research.

Duties of Editors

Fair Decision-Making

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic merit, originality, relevance, and scientific quality, without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religious beliefs, or political views.

Confidentiality

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information about a submission to anyone other than those directly involved in the editorial process.

Conflict of Interest

Editors should not handle manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with authors or institutions.

Duties of Reviewers

Confidentiality

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with unauthorized individuals.

Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively, and observations should be clearly supported by evidence and scholarly arguments.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and report any substantial similarity between the manuscript under review and other published works.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.

Publication Misconduct

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, or any other form of research misconduct. Suspected cases will be investigated by the editorial team and may result in manuscript rejection, retraction of published articles, and notification of relevant institutions when necessary.

Corrections and Retractions

When significant errors or ethical concerns are identified in published articles, the journal will take appropriate action, including issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, as required.

Compliance with International Standards

EJMMEDS follows internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and encourages all participants in the publication process to uphold integrity, transparency, and academic responsibility.
