Withdrawal Policy

The Electronic Journal of Mathematical Modelling in Engineering and Digital Sciences (EJMMEDS) recognizes that authors may occasionally request the withdrawal of a manuscript. To maintain the integrity and efficiency of the publication process, the following policy applies to all submissions.

Withdrawal Before Peer Review

Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before the peer review process begins. Such requests must be submitted in writing by the corresponding author, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal.

The editorial office will process the request and confirm the withdrawal once it has been approved.

Withdrawal During Peer Review

Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript while it is under peer review. The request must be submitted in writing by the corresponding author and include a valid reason for withdrawal.

The editorial team reserves the right to review the request before approving the withdrawal.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, withdrawal requests will only be considered under exceptional circumstances. Authors must provide a detailed explanation, and the editorial board will determine whether the request can be approved.

Withdrawal After Publication

After publication, articles cannot ordinarily be withdrawn. If serious errors, ethical concerns, or cases of research misconduct are identified, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction in accordance with its publication ethics and retraction policies.

Authorship Responsibility

Withdrawal requests must be made with the knowledge and consent of all co-authors. The journal may request written confirmation from all authors when necessary.

Editorial Discretion

The editorial board reserves the right to reject withdrawal requests that are deemed unethical, unjustified, or intended to avoid editorial decisions or peer review outcomes.

Final Decision

The final decision regarding manuscript withdrawal rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial board. Authors will be notified of the decision through official journal communication channels.
